Kyle Erickson specializes in crisis management, brand positioning and message and strategy development for B2B and B2C clients. He helps lead Markstein’s crisis communications practice area and manages numerous clients including Royal Cup Coffee & Tea, Lenitiv Scientific, Seiler Skin Cosmetic Laser & Aesthetics Center and Colonial Pipeline. Kyle serves as a trusted consultant to his clients, which also have included Verizon, Alabama Power and Thompson Tractor. He takes an outcome-focused approach backed by a strong understanding of consumer psychology to help his clients achieve their business and marketing communications goals and objectives.
Kyle successfully led a massive brand repositioning project with Royal Cup, helping to consolidate its family of 13 brands down to four identities and messaging platforms, and subsequently designed and led the marketing campaign to roll the new brands out to consumers and businesses across the country. Kyle also developed and executed an earned media and marketing strategy that helped Royal Cup enter and capitalize in retail after more than 50 years of operation as a B2B company.
Prior to joining Markstein, Kyle served as vice president with Lucid Public Relations, where he worked with organizations including NASA, Montel Williams Enterprises, Toyota Tsusho and GiveForward. His work also included healthcare-related clients such as Lancer Dermatology, F.I.G.S. Scrubs and Marina Del Rey Hospital, as well as numerous high-profile physicians, actors, musicians and television hosts. Kyle also previously served as director of communications at Whole Life Balance, leading the company’s expansion into the retail market by opening locations in Santa Monica, California and Toronto, Ontario.
Kyle earned his bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
