With a decade of strategic communications, PR, branding and tactical management experience, Bryna Reid has devoted a career to helping businesses and organizations navigate a broad spectrum of marketing landscapes and complexities.  At Markstein, she specializes in integrated marketing planning, messaging strategy, media relations, campaign development and grassroot outreach, with a client roster including Maynard, Cooper & Gale, Alabama Power Customer Service Operations and Broad Metro.

Bryna has an intuitive talent for cutting through the clutter, driving results, and bridging gaps between tried-and-true marketing tactics and modern trends. Her approach is rooted in versatility and market adaptability, with the understanding that each and every client deserves comprehensive and uniquely tailored solutions that are not-only impactful, but make sense.

She draws knowledge from a diverse pool of industries and real-world communication scenarios, including past work in non-profit, local government, economic development, corporate communications, higher education and startup sectors. Prior to Markstein, Bryna served as Assistant Director of Marketing & Communications for UAB’s Division of Student Affairs, where she engineered and streamlined marketing processes and managed programming for 11 of 17 divisional departments. Bryna directed PR strategies and campaigns as Communication Manager for REV Birmingham, with notable initiatives including Zyp BikeShare, THE BIG PITCH and Birmingham Restaurant Week. Bryna has also provided support to dynamic clientele in both local and surrounding markets, including community engagement, internal and external culture messaging, fundraising and event-based projects for Victoria Secret PINK, Sony Pictures, United Way of Central Alabama, City of Birmingham, Alabama Power, UNCF and more.

A 2010 graduate of Florida A&M University, Bryna holds a B.S. in Public Relations with a concentration in graphic design. She earned her MBA from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2019.
